Virtual Rehearsal

Following a successful test launch on 30 March, we're planning on continuing virtual rehearsals whilst social distancing guidance is in place.

The web links will be emailed out ahead of time - there will be a different link for each rehearsal. Contact secretary@aberdeenstrathpsey.org.uk if you have not received the link or are interested in attending.

Deep breath - here's the technical bit on how it all works

We are using the Microsoft Teams Live Event.  A live event is a one way broadcast - so you can listen and play along at home but you only hear the presenter (Ronnie) - not the other members (virtually) attending the event.

You can submit questions and comments to Ronnie by typing them in on your keyboard using the Q&A facility.  You can just make comments - it doesn't need to be a question to be answered.

We would encourage you to use this facility so that Ronnie knows he is not speaking to himself!  There will be a short delay between questions being submitted and responded to, and they may be published to the public Q&A feed - but you can ask anonymously if you want, just make sure you select the option before submitting.

Chrome and Microsoft Edge web browsers are fully supported. Safari and Firefox may not work. You can also install/use the free Microsoft Teams app on your PC/Mac (follow the link you are sent and it will ask you if you want to download/use the Teams app).

If you are using a mobile device you may need to download the free Microsoft Teams app from your app store - again follow the link in advance and your device should tell you if you need the app.

If you have not used Teams before you may want to watch the intro video about attending a live event

To ask a question or make a comment use the Ask a Question tab on the bottom right of the screen. To look at other questions/comments which have been published, use the Featured tab (top right of screen).

Depending on your chosen device's volume levels you may want to consider how best to listen to Ronnie whilst you are playing along.

... and relax.

Hope to see you (virtually) on Monday
Event Time:
Mon 6 Apr 2020, 7:30pm - 8:30pm
