We are looking forwards to our Annual Fiddler’s Rally, a public concert to be held at the Tivoli Theatre on Saturday 18th November.
This year our guest artists are two young local musicians who hail from Culter, Cameron Nixon and Rachel Campbell, the compere for the evening will be Gary Coull and we will be joined on stage by visiting musicians from all over Scotland.
We were all sad to heard the news in August that Robbie Shepherd MBE had died. Robbie enjoyed a terrific relationship with the society dating back to at least 1973, 50 years! As a result our varied programme will include a celebration of music strongly associated with Robbie, i.e. various both ballad tunes for all to sing along with, the pipe march Braemar Gathering and the classic The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen.
Tickets for the rally are available now from Aberdeen Performing Arts Website:–
The society donates the surplus that we generate each year from holding events such as these to other local charities so the audience can be assured that whilst enjoying an evening out their money is also going towards a good cause.
