We were very pleased to be invited by Aberdeen City Council to play on the Main Stage at Regents Quay on Tuesday 22nd July as the Tall Ships were departing Aberdeen Harbour to start their race across the North Sea.

Our set comprised a variety of toe tapping Scottish melodies and was about 45 minutes long.

What a great sight it was to see the crowds enjoying themselves all around the harbour and celebrating the best Aberdeen has to offer. The huge, ugly supply ships were gone and for four days we all had the opportunity to visit the interesting sailing ships that had taken their place.   Some of the smaller craft took folk on trips around the bay and had everyone hauling and heaving ropes to raise, set and lower sails.  I dare say a few sea shanties were sung.
